Welcome to my Christmas Limited Sessions! I’m so glad you’re here and ready to capture the magic of the holiday season. Whether you’re dressing festive or keeping it classic, these sessions are a fun and joyful way to document the spirit of the season.

This guide is designed to help you prepare for your photoshoot, ensuring that the experience is enjoyable, stress-free, and results in beautiful images that you'll cherish for years to come.

Planning Your Outfits


Your attire plays a significant role in the overall look and feel of your photos. Coordinate with your partner or family to choose outfits that complement each other without being too matchy-matchy. Considering the location and theme of your shoot, the outfits ideas below are simply a way to take your session to the next level aesthetically, but are by no means required


These outfits are all here merely as suggestions. I am here to serve you and your family best, so please do not hesitate to reach out regarding any questions about attire.

Do’s and Don’ts

DO:

  • Stick to no more than two patterns for the entire family
  • Keep babies and toddlers as comfortable as possible
  • If baby is not walking yet, they don't need shoes
  • If you're interested in professional hair and makeup, my favorite HMUA is either Makeup by Halie or Taylored Beauty Co

DON’T:

  • Stark white does not photograph well. It tends to look blue and have a weird glow on camera. I recommend avoiding stark white dress shirts for men. Opt for a cream color or light grey instead!
  • Black and super dark colors tend to add a “heaviness” to the photos and they also show dust, pet hairs, and undergarments more than light colors
  • Vibrant colors such as hot pink can be very distracting in photos. Opt for a dusty rose color instead!
  • Small stripes and very small patterns can cause moire, which is an effect that is not appealing in photographs.
  • Super busy patterns such as plaid can look distracting in family photos.


Day of Shoot Checklist

As your shoot day approaches, it's helpful to have everything gathered up and that you know the location. White Moose Studios has several locations and yours is specified below.

Double-check your outfits, pack any props or accessories you would like to be included in the session.

Bring along some snacks and water if those things will help your littles.

What to Expect Upon Arrival


Limited sessions run on a tight schedule, so please arrive a few minutes early and come fully dressed and ready to go. Once you arrive, I’ll quickly check you in and guide you to the photo spot. We’ll jump right into shooting to make the most of your time—no need to worry, I’ll direct you every step of the way! These sessions are fast-paced but fun, with a focus on capturing natural smiles and sweet moments in a short time.


After the Photoshoot


Thank you so much for joining me—it was a joy to capture your special moments! Within 14 days, you’ll receive an online gallery where you can view and download your 5 included images. You’ll also have the option to purchase additional photos if you’d like. I’ll send a quick message as soon as your gallery is ready, so keep an eye on your inbox!
