Magical Summertime in Oklahoma
There’s something magical about summertime in Oklahoma when the gardens are overflowing with blooms, the evenings stretch just a little longer, and childhood feels beautifully uncomplicated. Looking back on this sweet mother and daughter session reminds me why I love photographing families in every season of life.
Set in our backyard garden in the Oklahoma City area, this session was less about perfectly posed portraits and more about preserving real memories in the making. We embraced everything summer has to offer here, from watering flowers under the golden evening sun to sharing fresh apples. One of my favorite moments from this session was watching the little one dance beneath the spray of the garden hose. As the sunlight filtered through the water spray, it created the dreamiest setting.
